Position Title: Warehouse Manager

Location: Richmond B.C. (V6V 3C8)

Starting Minimum: $62,500

Job Type: Full Time

Position Summary

Reporting to the Operations Manager or designate, the Warehouse Manager will collaborate with fellow Warehouse Managers to oversee daily warehouse operations. This role focuses on enhancing efficiency, optimizing processes, mentoring staff, and contributing to overall profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations (in collaboration with other Warehouse Managers):

• Plan and assign daily workloads to warehouse staff.
• Oversee all inbound and outbound inventory, ensuring compliance with company policies, CFIA, and HACCP standards.
• Optimize warehouse space utilization based on inventory location and flow.
• Facilitate effective communication between departments to ensure seamless operations.
• Develop and enforce operational policies and procedures related to production, receiving, routing, inventory, and transportation within the warehouse.
• Lead the implementation and training of new scanning technologies.
• Monitor safety practices and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Coordinate regular inventory counts with the Purchasing Manager and Branch Manager.
• Ensure timely maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment through internal and third-party service providers.
• Maintain accurate logs and reports as required.
• Oversee sanitation programs across all warehouse areas.

Staff Supervision

• Assess staffing needs across shifts and communicate resource requirements to senior management.
• Set clear performance expectations and provide training, coaching, and mentorship to support employee development.
• Foster a positive and engaging work environment, recognizing individual and team contributions.
• Conduct performance appraisals during the probationary period to ensure thorough training.
• Address disciplinary issues in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Keep staff informed of updates to company policies, procedures, and operational changes.

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Proven supervisory and leadership capabilities.
• Strong time management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid forklift certification (with ability to train others).
• Standard First Aid certification (training available).
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office, internet applications, and database systems.
