United Way British Columbia is a community impact organization who responds to emerging issues in our communities, co-creating programs where and when they’re needed most. Working with community members, local businesses, agencies and governments, we strengthen vital connections that support people in need across British Columbia.
The Campaign Associate Program is a full-time fall work term that gives individuals an exciting opportunity to make a difference in their community, try something new, build their networks, strengthen skills and raise resources for the betterment of their community. Campaign Associates help local organizations to run workplace campaigns, raising funds to support the communities we call home.
Note: This role will likely be a hybrid of work-from-home and in-office work, with an occasional requirement to visit local campaign partners to coordinate campaign activity, and pick up or drop off materials. All in-person work requirements will adhere to current provincial health guidelines.
A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is helpful for this role. A laptop will be provided. Access to a cell phone is mandatory.
What you’ll do
- Support Seaspan’s United Way company campaign
- Support a range of workplace campaigns ranging in company size, employment sector, and campaign dollar value, under the supervision of a Campaign Manager
- Lead, motivate, educate and inspire workplace volunteers to run successful workplace fundraising campaigns
What you’ll bring
- Enrolled in a 2nd or 3rd year undergraduate degree program
- Organized, detail oriented, self-motivated and driven
- Computer savvy with knowledge of the full Microsoft Office Suite and an aptitude for digital communication
- Able to work under pressure; meet deadlines and exercise tact and discretion
- Looking for an exciting challenge to make a measurable impact in the lives of British Columbians
- Looking to advance their careers and test their strengths in varied environments
- Able to build strong relationships effectively, support team members and collaborate on solutions
No fundraising or account management experience is required. United Way provides all necessary training and coaching to help Campaign Associates support the running of effective fundraising campaigns, including a one-week orientation program.
We require a full-time commitment Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week with an hourly rate of $28.00/hour.
Start Date of Internship: Tuesday, September 8th, 2026.
End Date of Internship: Friday, December 18th, 2026 (4-Months).

This position may involve defense articles and/or technical data regulated by the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and the U.S. Arms Export Control Act.
