Position Overview
The eDiscovery Analyst is responsible for the intake, processing, management, and quality assurance of electronic evidence in support of Enforcement investigations. This role focuses on digital evidence workflows, including data ingestion, processing, metadata management, and litigation support, while ensuring compliance with BCSC standards and evidentiary procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities include:
- Coordinate the intake, tracking, and prioritization of electronic evidence processing requests
- Ensures all requests and supporting documentation (Inventory Logs) are complete, clear and consistent
- Ensures that Technology and Evidence Control responds to requests within published service levels
- Ensures the proper storage, handling and tracking of evidence
- Scans paper evidence
- Receives and separates material
- Prepares documents for scanning (Unitization)
- Ensures the quality of scanned images
- Reassembles documents into their original form
- Codes evidence
- Supports colleagues with the processing of electronic evidence
- Assists with administration of electronic databases
- Provide technical support and guidance to Enforcement staff on eDiscovery processes, tools, and best practices
Qualifications
Your qualifications include:
- Post-Secondary training and experience in Document Management, Computer Science, Litigation Support or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 2 years experience in litigation support or related field
- Strong working knowledge Microsoft Windows and software, including Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with Litigation Support software (EDT, Relativity, Summation, Ringtail etc.)
- Detail oriented with strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication and inter personal skills
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to adjust priorities as required
- Ability to understand and adhere to project protocols and procedures
- Ability to manage large volumes with accuracy and consistency
- Familiarity with the Electronic Discovery Reference Model and an understanding of e-discovery technical concepts (e.g. load files, metadata etc.) is an asset.

Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $55,506 (minimum) - $65,303 (midpoint) - $75,098 (maximum).
The starting salary for this position will be determined considering the successful candidate’s relevant experience and education, salaries of other employees in the same salary range, market conditions, and other relevant factors. Starting salaries are normally below the salary band midpoint.
