Eagle is currently growing to meet customer demand and is seeking a skilled Drone Pilot to join our team and deliver technical expertise on a variety of innovative field projects.

Job Duties

Tasks associated with this position may include, but are not limited to:

  • Operate UAV/drone systems safely and efficiently for surveying, mapping, inspection, and data collection projects
  • Conduct pre-flight planning, site assessments, and safety checks
  • Ensure compliance with Transport Canada regulations and company safety procedures
  • Capture high-quality aerial imagery, LiDAR, photogrammetry, and video data
  • Maintain accurate flight logs, mission reports, and operational records
  • Perform routine drone maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance
  • Coordinate with project managers, surveyors, and field crews to meet project requirements
  • Process and organize collected field data for delivery to internal teams
  • Monitor weather and environmental conditions to ensure safe flight operations
  • Additional survey, mobile mapping, and CAD/GIS tasks as needed
  • Ability to lift 50-100lbs
  • Travel across Canada up to 80% of the time by car and plane, and work outdoors in varying weather and site conditions

Qualifications

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Valid Advanced RPAS Pilot Certificate issued by Transport Canada
  • Experience operating commercial UAV platforms such as DJI or similar systems
  • Experience with LiDAR, photogrammetry, or aerial mapping software, such as DJI Terra, Agisoft, etc., is considered an asset
  • Knowledge of Transport Canada UAV regulations and airspace requirements
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and terrain conditions
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada

Job Specific Information:

  • This is a full-time permanent position
  • Entitlement to full company benefits after a probation period of 3 months
  • Must provide driver's abstract upon hire
  • Upon hiring, the employee will be required to pass a background check process
