Kitchen and Bath Drafter

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Kitchen & Cabinet Drafter who combines strong technical drafting skills with on-site measurement expertise. This role involves traveling to New Home Construction in and around Southern Ontario to take accurate field measurements and producing precise kitchen and cabinetry layouts using 2020 Design software. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of cabinetry construction and client-facing professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

Site Measurement & Field Work

• Travel to residential job sites to conduct accurate field measurements; a company vehicle will be provided.
• Verify dimensions, elevations, and site conditions (walls, windows, utilities, obstructions)
• Identify potential design constraints and communicate them to the team
• Take detailed notes, photos, and sketches to support drafting accuracy
• Must wear available PPE and follow all Work Safe procedures.

Drafting & Design (2020 Design)

• Create detailed kitchen and cabinetry layouts using 2020 Design software
• Produce floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings as required
• Ensure designs align with client specifications, building codes, and manufacturer constraints
• Revise drawings based on feedback from all sales staff.
• Prepare drawings for production, quoting, and installation teams

Coordination & Communication

• Collaborate with designers, sales reps, and project managers to ensure design intent is met
• Communicate any measurement discrepancies or site challenges promptly
• Support project hand-offs to installation teams with accurate documentation
• Maintain organized records of site measurements and drawings

Qualifications

Required

• Experience using 2020 Design software (kitchen & cabinetry design)
• Proven experience in field measuring kitchens or interiors
• Strong understanding of cabinetry, millwork, and kitchen layouts
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and blueprints
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites
