The University Relations team at Yukon University is looking for a creative and collaborative communicator to join our team as Digital Marketing Coordinator. In this role, you will help strengthen Yukon University’s online presence through engaging digital content, storytelling, and audience engagement initiatives.

Reporting to the Director, Communications and Marketing, you will coordinate digital communications and marketing activities across a variety of digital platforms, including social media. You will support a variety of faculty, departments, and University leadership with communications and promotional needs.

This is a fast-paced role with varied and competing priorities. You are an organized and adaptable communicator who can manage multiple projects while producing clear, engaging content for diverse audiences.

The ideal candidate has education and experience in communications, marketing, journalism, digital media, or a related field, along with experience creating digital content and supporting communications initiatives. Experience in post-secondary education, government, or the public sector would be considered an asset.

  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills
  • Experience creating content for social media, websites, newsletters, and digital advertising products
  • Knowledge of digital communications and audience engagement strategies
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills
  • Creativity, initiative, and attention to detail
  • Cross-cultural awareness and knowledge of Yukon First Nations and northern communities

Candidates with an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may also be considered.
