Who we are?
The Primary Construction Team consists of ACCIONA Infrastructure Canada Inc. (ACCIONA) and Amico Major Projects Inc. (Amico), as Trillium Guideway Partners (TGP).
What is the project?
The Ontario Line (“OL”) is a fully integrated, stand-alone, rapid transit system that connects Ontario Science Centre to the Exhibition and Ontario Place grounds. The Northern Civil, Stations and Tunnel (“NC”) project consists of approximately 7 kms of underground subway and elevated guideway, with stations along the segment providing connections to surface bus and streetcar routes. The NC project has been divided into two main progressive design-build contracts: (1) the Elevated Guideways and Stations Contract (“EGS”) and the Pape Tunnel and Underground Station Contract (“PTUS”), with supporting Early Works.
What is the Opportunity?
The Properties Coordinator is responsible for supporting the management and coordination of property and lands-related requirements for the Ontario Line – Elevated Guideway and Stations Project. This role works closely with various internal disciplines including design and construction as well as external stakeholders including the Contracting Authority and private property owners to identify, track, and coordinate land requirements, property access needs, permits to enter, temporary occupancies, property handovers, and other property-related commitments required to support project delivery.
The Properties Coordinator reviews technical documentation including design drawings and property plans, prepares and coordinates property-related submissions, develops property sketches, maintains project trackers, and supports engagement with property owners, governmental authorities, Contracting Authority representatives, consultants, and other stakeholders. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced major infrastructure project environment.
Responsibilities
• Coordinate property-related requirements for the Project, including additional lands requests, property access requirements, temporary occupancies, permits to enter, property handovers, and land return activities.
• Review drawings, site plans, survey information, property plans, and contract documents to identify property requirements and constraints.
• Prepare property sketches, and other supporting documentation required for property-related submissions and stakeholder coordination.
• Coordinate with Design, Construction, Utilities, Traffic, Environmental, and other project teams to identify and track land requirements throughout all stages of the Project.
• Prepare, submit, and track additional lands requests and property-related submissions, including responses to comments and resubmissions.
• Maintain property, access, and land requirement trackers and ensure information is current, accurate, and complete.
• Monitor and track project commitments, action items, approvals, and property-related deliverables.
• Coordinate requests for property access, temporary permissions, permits to enter, and occupancy agreements required to support construction activities.
• Prepare meeting agendas, meeting minutes, correspondence, reports, presentations, and formal submissions.
• Liaise with property owners, governmental authorities, Contracting Authority representatives, consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders as directed.
• Identify risks, conflicts, and schedule impacts related to property requirements and recommend mitigation measures.
• Support compliance with contractual property obligations and project requirements
You’ll bring to the Team (Knowledge, Skills, Competencies)
• A bachelor's degree or related education in Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning, CAD Technician, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience.
• Must demonstrate strong working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D.
• Working knowledge of Civil 3D is considered an asset.
• Experience in the design and/or construction industry or major infrastructure projects is considered an asset.
• Experience coordinating property access, land requirements, handovers, permits, licenses, occupancy agreements, or similar property-related activities.
• Experience reviewing drawings, site plans, survey information, property plans, and other technical documentation.
• Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills.
• Strong organizational skills and experience managing multiple trackers, action items, submissions, and competing deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, Bluebeam, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Ability to work independently, and follow tasks through to completion.
• Strong attention to detail and strong document management skills.
• Professional designation such as EIT, PMP, OAA, or similar is considered an asset.
• Knowledge of design and construction industry practices and regulatory/property approval processes is considered an asset
