Join our clients exciting Engineering team, where quality, precision, and collaboration are critical to success. As a Quality Auditor, you will play a key role in ensuring subcontractor compliance with ISO 9001 standards across a historic defense program. This role requires someone to travel 30 – 40% of the year, 1 – 2 weeks at a time to manufacturer's in Europe, Canada and US. Responsibilities
- Review contractual requirements, vendor documentation, and quality plans to effectively prepare for audits
- Conduct on-site and virtual ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) audits of subcontractors
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports, clearly documenting findings, risks, and actionable recommendations
- Analyze and organize audit data to identify trends and present insights in a clear, visual format
- Train and coach internal team members on ISO 9001 standards and relevant technical topics
- Monitor supplier quality performance, identifying risks and driving continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field
- 2–5+ years of experience in auditing or within industries such as shipbuilding, manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, or oil & gas. Ideally a mix of shop floor/production and office/documentation/traceability experience.
- ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or equivalent certification required
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, AS9100, or similar Quality Management Systems
- Excellent organizational, project management, and Microsoft Office Suite skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, coach, and collaborate effectively across teams
Pay: $70,000 - $80,000 annually
Located in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia on-site 5 days per week.
Travel 30-40% across US, Canada and Europe.
