Northern Computer is seeking a Sales Manager to join the Kelowna team to help drive revenue growth, strengthen client partnerships, and contribute to the continued success of the company.

The Role

Reporting to the General Manager, the Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth through personal sales production and sales team leadership. As a player-coach, this individual will acquire new clients, grow existing accounts, and coach the sales team to achieve performance goals. The successful candidate brings experience selling managed IT, cybersecurity, cloud, or technology solutions and a proven ability to generate recurring revenue growth.

The Responsibilities

  • Generate team revenue growth by achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets, including monthly recurring revenue (MRR), quota attainment, and profitable growth
  • Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through prospecting, referrals, networking, marketing initiatives, strategic partnerships, and accurate forecasting
  • Coach, mentor, and develop the sales team through regular one-on-one meetings, pipeline reviews, performance coaching, and accountability to individual and team goals
  • Build and strengthen trusted client relationships by understanding evolving business needs, identifying opportunities for account expansion, and communicating market and customer insights to internal teams
  • Drive revenue growth within existing accounts through strategic account management, cross-selling, upselling, and adoption of additional managed IT, cybersecurity, cloud, and AI solutions
  • Lead opportunities through the full sales cycle, supporting the team from qualification and discovery through proposal development, negotiation, and closing
  • Achieve revenue and gross margin objectives through disciplined pricing, contract quality, solution positioning, and alignment with Northern Computer’s strategic priorities
  • Provide accurate pipeline reporting, forecasting, and performance metrics to support business planning and decision-making

The Requirements

  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets within managed IT services, cybersecurity, cloud, or technology solutions
  • 2+ years of experience leading, coaching, and developing sales professionals, ideally in a player-coach or sales leadership role is preferred
  • Experience selling to businesses, municipalities, not-for-profit organizations, and public sector clients, MSP experience is required
  • Strong understanding of managed IT services, cybersecurity, cloud solutions, and emerging technologies, with the ability to communicate business value to technical and non-technical decision-makers
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders, from prospecting and discovery through proposal development, negotiation, and closing
  • Proven ability to build trusted client relationships, identify growth opportunities, and generate revenue through both new business development and account expansion
  • Strong business acumen with experience managing pipelines, forecasting sales activity, reporting on KPIs, and using data to drive decision-making
  • Self-directed, entrepreneurial, and collaborative, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities evolve and teamwork is essential
  • Naturally curious and solutions-oriented, with a passion for continuous learning and helping clients leverage technology to achieve business objectives
  • Experience utilizing CRM systems to manage opportunities, forecast revenue, and maintain accurate sales activity and client information
