Who We Are Looking For
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Finishing Support Department Supervisor will provide leadership to the team by ensuring a safe work environment, fostering a culture of trust, ownership, and accountability; by cultivating a strong team focused on achieving production goals, and encouraging both professional and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities
People Leadership
- Model company values.
- Lead department meetings to communicate corporate and department information to your staff.
- Create and maintain a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and collaboration.
- Ensure staff are trained and competent.
Safety
- Take ownership for safety of employees in the department, including risk assessments, JHA, SWP, Lock- out procedures and all safety training of your department.
- Conduct scheduled Safety Audits.
- Complete Incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
Production Leadership
- Be a team player, work with other leaders and supervisors within production.
- Ensure quality standards are met; quality checks and audits are executed. Reduce rework.
- Lead and motivate the team on both shifts to achieve production targets.
- Take ownership of processes, equipment, and tools.
Innovation
- Coach employees for continuous improvement.
- Improve processes to increase department performance. Optimize product flow.

Education & Experience
- Previous leadership experience is required.
- Manufacturing experience is an asset.
- College or University program in manufacturing or management is an asset.
