Quality Control Analyst - Aphria One
(Leamington, ON - Onsite)
Job Summary
The Quality Control Analyst will be responsible for ensuring that products meet established quality standards through analytical testing and data analysis. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining product quality and safety. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are essential.
Status: This posting is for an existing vacancy.
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 4:30pm
Day-to-day responsibilities will consist of
- Analyze samples of raw materials, in-process, and finished products for conformance to company specifications.
- Perform testing using analytical equipment and instruments.
- Document, interpret, and report results, noting any deviations and non-compliances.
- Maintain laboratory instruments and equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Troubleshoot equipment when failures and unusual performances occur to ensure operational efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest ways to enhance processes.
- Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
- Maintain laboratory inventory counts to ensure the laboratory is properly stocked with supplies.
To be successful in this position the following must apply:
- A Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in a scientific discipline is required.
- A minimum of 3 years experience in a laboratory environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Excellent grammar and communication skills required.
- High attention to detail necessary.
- Ability to work in team and individual environments
The expected annual base salary range for this role is $50,000 - 53,000. Please note that the actual offer will be determined based on your skills, experience, education, market benchmarks, and internal equity.
