Junior Engineer - Maintainability

Our client is looking for a Junior Engineer (Maintainability) who supports large manufacturing and engineering projects by contributing analytical insights, collaborating across teams, and helping ensure equipment and parts are reliable, maintainable, and cost-effective throughout their lifecycle. This role is ideal for an early-career engineer who is curious, detail-oriented, and eager to grow technical and problem-solving skills while working closely with experienced engineers and stakeholders. Responsibilities

  • Support engineering teams by performing reliability, availability, and maintainability analyses to improve product performance and lifecycle efficiency.
  • Assist in evaluating designs by identifying potential failures, maintenance needs, and resource requirements.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and suppliers to review technical data and ensure requirements are met.
  • Review and validate technical and supplier data for accuracy, completeness, and usability.
  • Maintain engineering databases, documentation, and analysis records.
  • Prepare clear technical reports and communicate findings to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Interest or experience in industries such as shipbuilding, defense, aviation, rail, or automotive.
  • Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage data, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn, collaborate, and grow professionally.

Pay: $35-39 per/hour

5 days in office in North Vancouver, BC for the first 1-3 months and then remote possibility
