Role Description

The Life Insurance Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Kelowna, BC. This role is responsible for advising individuals, families, and business owners on life insurance solutions that support their overall financial and legacy planning goals. Day-to-day activities include meeting with clients to assess needs, recommending appropriate insurance products, preparing and presenting customized proposals, and managing the application and underwriting process. The Life Insurance Specialist will maintain ongoing client relationships through regular reviews, policy servicing, and proactive communication. The role also involves collaborating with other financial professionals, participating in educational events or workshops, and staying current on insurance products, regulations, and industry trends.

Qualifications

  • Strong Insurance and Life Insurance knowledge, with the ability to explain policy options, coverage, and benefits clearly.
  • Proven Insurance Sales and Sales skills, including prospecting, needs analysis, and closing in a client-focused, consultative manner.
  • Solid Finance understanding to integrate life insurance solutions into broader financial and retirement strategies.
  • Excellent Customer Service skills, with a focus on empathy, active listening, and long-term relationship building.
  • Relevant provincial life insurance licensing (or eligibility to obtain) and adherence to all regulatory requirements.
  • Previous experience in financial services, insurance, or wealth management is an asset.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with comfort discussing sensitive financial and family matters.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion when handling confidential client information.
  • Ability to work independently, manage a pipeline of clients, and meet performance and service objectives.
