Alloy Homes is seeking an experienced Design Manager to serve as the creative heartbeat and primary client ambassador for our upcoming portfolio of luxury projects. The Role

1. Client Stewardship & Leadership

• Act as the primary point of contact and trusted architectural guide for high-net-worth clients, providing a white-glove, concierge-level experience.
• Develop and manage deep, trusting client relationships, translating their lifestyle needs into bold, innovative design solutions.
• Serve as an eloquent and passionate ambassador for the Alloy Homes brand in all dealings with clients, colleagues, trades, media, and the public.

2. Design Vision & Studio Management

• Lead the design phase of our projects from conceptualization to completion, ensuring the architectural vision is upheld through detailing, engineering, and construction.
• Balance your managerial duties with hands-on creative work—producing conceptual designs, renderings, and detail drawings as required.
• Resolve complex design and technical issues by considering every element within its broader architectural and environmental context.

3. Project Execution & Collaboration

• Oversee the production of all architectural and interior design documentation.
• Deliver projects efficiently through inspirational leadership and seamless collaboration with our internal construction teams, outside consultants, trades, and suppliers.
• Manage Development and Building Permit submissions and municipal reviews.

About You

• You are a proven innovator; you constantly challenge convention and seek better solutions.
• You have extreme polish; your written and verbal communication skills are impeccable, allowing you to manage expectations, negotiate gently, and inspire confidence in demanding clientele.
• You are highly organized; you are self-motivated, hyper-attentive to detail, and thrive under the pressure of a deadline.
• You are a collaborator; you leave your ego at the door and work seamlessly with construction managers to turn theoretical designs into buildable realities.

Qualifications

• A professional Degree in Architecture or a demonstrated equivalent architectural design background.
• Extensive experience as a Lead Designer or Project Architect, with a robust portfolio of high-end, custom residential projects.
• Exceptional proficiency in generating conceptual design models, renderings, technical details, specifications, and presentation packages.
• Demonstrated software mastery in Sketchup and Revit.
• A thorough, practical understanding of Part 9 of the Alberta Building Code and municipal land-use bylaws.
• Bonus: Previous Design/Build experience is highly valued.
