Kintera- (DWB/CRGL) is a newly merged consulting firm specializing in environmental, engineering, forestry and GIS services and solutions. With a close-knit team, a diverse client base, and a strong reputation for quality and service, the company operates offices throughout all of British Columbia.

We are seeking a motivated and dependable IT Support Technician to join our team in our North Vancouver office. The successful candidate will provide Level 1 and Level 2 IT support under the direct supervision of the IT Manager. This role involves hands-on technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems to ensure smooth business operations.

DUTIES

The immediate responsibilities of an IT Support Technician will include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing end-user support for laptops, desktops, tablets, and associated peripherals
  • Delivering break-fix support for hardware and software issues
  • Supporting Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, base load software, and other business applications
  • Deploying and configuring new laptops, desktops, and tablets, including inventory management
  • Supporting imaging devices such as printers, scanners, copier, fax machines and multifunction devices
  • Configuring Windows Active Directory and Microsoft 365 tenant services
  • Troubleshooting technical and software issues and implementing effective solutions
  • Installing, configuring, and upgrading IT equipment and software
  • Monitoring and maintaining network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points
  • Implementing cybersecurity measures to protect organizational data and systems from threats
  • Performing routine maintenance, system updates, and data backups to ensure business continuity
  • Communicating effectively with end-users to resolve technical issues in a timely manner
  • Documenting technical issues, resolutions, and procedures in the ticketing system and knowledge base
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure seamless IT service and support delivery
  • Assisting in planning and executing IT projects for end users such as system migrations and hardware rollouts.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma or post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft certifications) are an asset
  • 3–5 years of experience in a similar IT support role
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues
  • Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
  • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Flexibility to work after hours or weekends as required
  • Valid class 5 driver’s license and reliable transportation for on-site support
