Production Administrator

POSITION SUMMARY
As a key member of the organization, reporting to the Plant Manager this position provides daily administrative support within the Production Department.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Provide administrative and logistical support for the production team and the manufacturing facility.
- Create, update and maintain reports and documents, handle incoming calls, filling and processing of mail.
- Ensure all time and attendance edits are made in the system; i.e. absences, shift adjustments, overtime and any other edits required.
- Gather information and prepare data for manufacturing KPI’s (key performance indicators).
- Ensure inventory of office supplies and safety equipment is adequate and maintained.
- Work with HR to assist with payroll support to ensure accurate and on time completion of payroll.
- Deal directly with production personal to help prepare and collect documents and forms. Assist cell leaders and production leadership in a wide variety of administrative tasks.
- Maintain assorted lists, handle petty cash, support fund raising and community events.
Requirements
- Two to four years’ experience in an Administrative Assistant or Secretarial position.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft products such as excel, word and outlook.
- Previous experience working with Kronos, Access and Oracle would be considered an asset.
- Ability to converse in a professional manner in both written and verbal communication to all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and possess initiative to seek improvements.
- Able to work evenings and weekends as events or circumstances arise.
- Motivated self-starter with capabilities to work within a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
