Essential Functions

• Maintain and oversee the operational framework supporting a Type 2 and Type 3 Introducing Broker model, ensuring clear segregation of responsibilities between the firm and its carrying broker (Fidelity Clearing Canada), and adherence to all CIRO regulatory requirements.

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key third-party service providers, including Fidelity Clearing Canada, d1g1t, and Future Vault, ensuring service delivery aligns with contractual obligations, regulatory expectations, and internal control standards.

• Oversee back-office operations to ensure the accurate and timely processing in accordance with CIRO rules and applicable securities regulations.

• Ensure the integrity and completeness of books and records maintained by the firm, including oversight of data reconciliation, exception management, and alignment with records maintained by the carrying broker.

• Ensure adherence to CIRO regulatory requirements, including the maintenance of accurate books and records, audit readiness, and compliance with internal controls and supervisory frameworks.

• Provide supervision, guidance, and support to operations staff and Investment Advisors to ensure compliance with firm policies, CIRO rules, and industry best practices.

• Support Investment Advisors in transitioning client accounts and books of business to Mandeville.

• Deliver and oversee training programs for Investment Advisors and operational personnel to reinforce regulatory obligations, operational procedures, and compliance standards.

• Oversee payroll services for Investment Advisors, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and appropriate controls.

• Maintain and regularly test the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Plan to ensure operational resilience and regulatory compliance.

• Provide approvals and operational oversight within delegated authority, ensuring decisions align with firm policies, risk, management standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive policies and procedures to support a strong compliance framework, including alignment with CIRO expectations for internal controls and supervision.

• Lead and oversee in-flight operational initiatives and special projects, ensuring appropriate governance, risk assessment, stakeholder coordination, and delivery in alignment with regulatory obligations and strategic priorities.

• Support internal and external audits, regulatory reviews, and compliance reporting requirements, ensuring timely response, issue remediation, and continuous improvement of operational controls.

• Oversee operational systems and coordinate closely with IT and external vendors to ensure operational systems, and data flows between the firm and carrying broker are secure, complete, and functioning as intended.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree/College Diploma

• Canadian Securities Course

• CSI Partners, Directors & Senior Officers Course

Work Experience

• Previous experience working in a Type 2 and Type 3 Introducing Broker back office

• Previous experience in transitioning a book of business

• Knowledge of CIRO regulations

• Ability to liaise with IT service providers

• 5-7 years’ experience in the industry in various managerial roles.

• Introducing/Carrying Broker Experience with Fidelity Clearing and D1g1t platforms is highly desirable

The base salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $170,000.
