Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and equipment
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and program PLCs, drives, and automated control systems
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment uptime
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical drawings
  • Support equipment upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders
  • Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to support operational goals
  • Follow all health and safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout protocols

Qualifications

Valid Ontario Electrical Trade Certification:

    • Industrial Electrician (442A) and/or
    • Construction & Maintenance Electrician (309A)
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with PLCs, automation systems, industrial controls, and drives
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with automated manufacturing or packaging equipment
  • High-voltage or power distribution experience
  • CMMS experience
  • Forklift, Crane/Rigging, WHMIS, Working at Heights, Confined Space, or First Aid/CPR certifications
  • Lean Manufacturing, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), or Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) experience
  • Familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies
  • Gas Technician 1 (G.1) certification

Working Conditions

  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and moving equipment
  • Physically active role involving standing, climbing, lifting, and confined space work
  • Overtime and additional shift coverage may be required
