IT Technician Full-Time Permanent (40 hrs/wk) Catholic Education Center

Grande Prairie & District Catholic Schools covers a geographical area that includes the regional communities of Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge, Sexsmith, and Spirit River. We are a team of 700 staff who provide quality teaching and learning experiences for approximately 5400 students.

Position Overview

This position is responsible for:

  • Technology Support and Service Requests – Provide professional technology support to District

staff and complete IT support requests for hardware, software, accounts, systems, and services.

  • Cloud Services and User Management – Manage and support District cloud services, staff and

student accounts, role changes, network access, single sign-on, email systems, and bulk account creation.

  • Infrastructure and System Operations – Support, maintain, and troubleshoot District technology

infrastructure, which may include servers, networks, wireless systems, cybersecurity tools, backups, and communication systems.

  • Devices, Projects, and Digital Services – Install and support District devices, classroom

technology, printers, digital exam systems, assistive technologies, system updates, larger IT projects, and websites

Desired Qualifications

  • IT Systems Diploma
  • 2 Years of Professional IT Support
  • Other combinations of relevant education, training, and experience may be considered, provided the candidate has the knowledge, abilities, and skills required for the position.
  • Can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Starting compensation will be, as per the collective agreement, $33.48/hr with a generous benefit package included. A recent Police Information Check and Intervention Record Check will be required if you are the successful applicant.
