Cybersecurity Project Manager

This role requires a seasoned project leader with deep cybersecurity expertise and the ability to manage complex programs spanning security operations, identity and access management, network security, infrastructure hardening, OT/IT integration, compliance, and cyber resilience. Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of cybersecurity projects and programs, managing scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications while ensuring alignment with enterprise security strategy and governance requirements.
• Drive the implementation of cybersecurity initiatives across key domains including Security Operations, Security Monitoring, Identity & Access Management (IAM), Network Security, Endpoint Security, Infrastructure Hardening, OT/IT Security Integration, and Cyber Resilience.
• Establish and maintain strong project governance practices, including RAID management, executive reporting, steering committee presentations, change control, and compliance with organizational delivery frameworks and cybersecurity standards.
• Partner closely with cybersecurity architects, security operations teams, infrastructure teams, operational technology stakeholders, vendors, and business leaders to ensure successful planning, execution, testing, deployment, and operational transition of security solutions.
• Lead risk identification, mitigation planning, issue resolution, and escalation management while supporting audit, regulatory, compliance, vulnerability remediation, and security assessment activities across the project portfolio.
• Manage relationships with cybersecurity vendors, consulting partners, and managed service providers, ensuring deliverables, Statements of Work (SOWs), contractual commitments, and implementation outcomes meet organizational expectations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience leading complex cybersecurity and technology projects within large enterprise environments, with a proven track record delivering strategic security initiatives from inception through operational handover.
• Deep knowledge of cybersecurity disciplines including Security Operations, Security Monitoring and SIEM, Identity & Access Management (IAM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), Network Security, Endpoint Security, Vulnerability Management, Infrastructure Security, Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and regulatory requirements such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, Zero Trust, risk management methodologies, and enterprise security governance practices.
• Demonstrated experience managing projects involving operational technology (OT), industrial control systems (ICS), critical infrastructure environments, or complex IT/OT convergence programs.
• PMP certification and CISSP designation required, with advanced knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies, as well as project management platforms such as Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, and related collaboration tools.
• Exceptional leadership, executive communication, stakeholder management, and vendor management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders, drive accountability, and deliver high-quality outcomes in fast-paced, security-focused environments.

Pay: $100 – 125 per/hour

Strong preference to candidates that can go on-site in Vancouver, BC
