Our client is looking for an Infrastructure Project Manager to support critical end-of-life infrastructure initiatives across North and South America. This role is ideal for an experienced IT Infrastructure Project Manager who thrives in complex industrial environments and enjoys leading large-scale technology programs from planning through execution. A key focus of this position will be managing infrastructure refresh, decommissioning, and end-of-life projects across multiple mine sites, ensuring legacy systems are retired safely and efficiently while minimizing operational disruption. Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of infrastructure projects, including infrastructure refreshes, decommissioning initiatives, and end-of-life technology replacement programs across mining operations in Canada and South America.
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, resource allocations, RAID logs, and governance reporting while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within scope.
  • Coordinate technical activities involving network infrastructure, telecommunications, cloud environments, data centers, end-user computing, and operational technology (OT) systems.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement and change management activities, including executive communications, steering committee updates, operational readiness planning, and transition-to-support processes.
  • Partner with vendors, consultants, telecommunications providers, and technology partners to manage deliverables, Statements of Work (SOWs), implementation plans, and overall project performance.
  • Ensure all projects align with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity standards, operational requirements, and organizational governance frameworks while supporting safe and reliable mine site operations.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience managing IT infrastructure projects within large, complex enterprise environments, with experience leading infrastructure refresh, modernization, decommissioning, or end-of-life technology initiatives.
  • Strong technical understanding of infrastructure domains including networks, telecommunications, cloud infrastructure, data centers, end-user computing, infrastructure resiliency, and operational technology (OT) environments.
  • Experience delivering projects across geographically dispersed operations, ideally supporting mining, industrial, manufacturing, energy, or other critical infrastructure environments.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders, vendors, and operational teams across Canada and Latin America.
  • Proven experience utilizing Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project delivery methodologies, along with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, Jira, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • PMP certification (or equivalent project management experience) combined with strong leadership, stakeholder management, risk management, and executive communication skills. Experience supporting Latin American operations is considered a significant asset.

Pay: $100 – 120 per/hour

Hybrid 2-3 days in office downtown Vancouver, BC
