Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of planners and supply chain professionals, providing direction, accountability, and organizational structure while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and implement an overarching supply chain and production planning strategy within the ERP/MRP environment, ensuring materials, labour, machine capacity, and project schedules are aligned.
- Own inventory management and planning processes, utilizing forecasting, min/max planning, inventory turnover analysis, resource loading, and other planning methodologies to optimize material availability and reduce excess inventory.
- Improve production planning and shop order release processes to ensure work orders, materials, and resources are available on time, minimizing production delays and operational disruptions.
- Analyze and optimize inventory across approximately 4,000 SKUs, identifying opportunities to reduce duplication, improve standardization, and increase operational efficiency.
- Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, and Project Management teams to improve cross-functional coordination, strengthen ERP discipline, and support successful project delivery.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain, production planning, materials management, or manufacturing operations, with demonstrated success in project-based manufacturing environments.
- Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems (SYSPRO experience preferred) and planning methodologies including inventory control, min/max planning, inventory turnover, capacity planning, and resource loading.
- Experience working in engineered-to-order (ETO), make-to-order (MTO), marine, industrial equipment, custom fabrication, or other high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments.
- Proven leadership experience or strong leadership capability, with the confidence to drive change, implement new processes, and ensure team accountability.
- Demonstrated ability to make data-driven decisions, solve complex operational challenges, and improve planning, inventory, and supply chain performance.
- Experience within small to mid-sized manufacturing organizations is strongly preferred.
Pay: $80,000 - $110,000 annually
5 days a week in North Vancouver, BC – candidates outside of commuting distance to North
Vancouver will not be considered.
