Your Opportunity

As we continue to expand, we’re looking for motivated and reliable Welder/Fitters to join our fast-paced, safety-focused custom manufacturing facility. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a supportive team environment where your contributions matter.

We are currently looking for Day Shift Welders (7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.).

What You’ll Do

  • Carry out fitting and welding operations, including reading blueprints and weld symbols
  • Set up and operate all required welding machines
  • Produce high-quality work that meets our customer’s expectation
  • Position will predominately be welding however there may be times when flexibility to perform other duties will be required

What We’re Looking For

  • Successful completion of all VAW’s pre-screening assessments including the VAW Welding Test
  • Completion of welding training from a vocational or technical institute preferred
  • MIG welding and fitting experience in a custom metal fabrication environment is an asset
  • Must obtain all required C.W.B. tickets within 6 months (various materials & positions). VAW will facilitate the testing
  • W.B. transferable welding tickets are an asset
  • Proficient at reading blueprints and using metric tape measures
  • Thorough knowledge of all types of welding procedures, practices and weld symbols
  • Strong attention to safety
  • Possess the skills and abilities to consistently produce high quality products and ensure quality control is maintained to the established standards
  • Must be organized, flexible, proactive, and interact in a positive and respectful manner in a team environment
  • Knowledge of industrial/commercial fans, noise control and HVAC systems is an asset
  • Knowledge of Lean principles is an asset
