Your future role on our team

You’ll play a key role in supporting the project management teams. You’ll work closely with project managers and the BBA technical engineering team. Your role will mainly consist of coordinating the various tasks to manage entire project life cycles.

You’ll be based at one of BBA’s offices in Abitibi (Rouyn-Noranda or Val-d’Or). Your main responsibility will be to support the projects being developed in the region, while benefiting from the guidance of a team and supervisors based in Mont-Saint-Hilaire.

At the start of your mandate, you’ll spend a few weeks training at the Mont-Saint-Hilaire office. This step is essential to ensure smooth onboarding and a thorough understanding of our processes and tools.

  • Support project leaders and managers in all aspects of the project management process
  • Be involved in the various stages of a project life cycle: updating business opportunities, reviewing proposals and managing projects
  • Proactively ensure project management processes run smoothly and that system data remains accurate and up to date
  • When a project kicks off, support the project team by promoting best practices and effective project management methodologies
  • Advise technical engineering teams in optimizing their project structure
  • Propose, improve and develop monitoring tools (schedules, work plans, budget flows) based on project needs
  • Gather the information necessary to update projects and integrate it into tools
  • Analyze performance indicators and anticipate issues and trends to propose measures to ensure project success
  • Identify and follow up on project change notices
  • Finalize the billing process by applying a strong understanding of business agreements across your project portfolio
  • Participate in overall project administration tasks

Summary of certifications and job requirements

  • College diploma in administration or project management or an undergraduate degree in project management; any combination of relevant education and experience will be considered
  • At least two years of relevant experience
  • Advanced English skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally; you may need to use English occasionally or daily, depending on current projects
  • Advanced French skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in Québec
  • Excellent knowledge of the MS Office Suite, especially Excel and Microsoft Project
  • Intermediate Spanish skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in South America; you may need to use Spanish occasionally or daily, depending on current projects
  • Asset: knowledge of Deltek Maconomy
