Worley is seeking a Field Engineer to work with our growing team/for project sites located in Alberta.
Position Description: As a Field Engineer with Worley, you will have the opportunity to work with innovative and fast-paced construction teams and project management professionals.
Responsibilities
- Reading and interpreting drawings (all disciplines)
- Compiling information to put together and complete a Request for Information (RFIs)
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs.
- Working with construction crews to troubleshoot issues
- Working with construction manager and project manager to put together scopes of work
- Coordinating with various disciplines; including subcontracts, procurement and project controls
- Reviewing and understanding contracts and scopes of work
- Liaising with engineers on a technical level
- Providing ad hoc reports to the project team as required
- Attending daily toolbox meetings
- Create subcontract scopes of work for Subcontract Administrator
- Quantity survey Field Activities to ensure progress is accurate
- Help compile project reporting documentation for the Shift report
- Work with Supervisors in the field to create and maintain FIWP
- Support the Materials Management group as required
- Create material requisitions for the project buyer
- Engineering Degree from an accredited institution. Preference will be given for candidates who have a background in mechanical or civil.
- Registration or eligibility to register as an EIT with APEGA
- Self-starter who is able to manage projects independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with reading and interpreting contracts, scopes of work and technical documents
- Must be extremely well versed in the use of Excel and other Microsoft programs
- Must have a Valid Class 5 drivers license (without restrictions) with a clean driver’s abstract

- 14 days on and 7 days off shift
