The Opportunity

We’re looking for a CAD Designer with millwork experience to join our team full-time. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys turning concepts into detailed, production-ready drawings and collaborating closely with sales and project teams. We only work on Wine Cellar millwork, which offers a tight niche industry that can be rewarding and fun.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the sales team to interpret client requirements and create presentation drawings/renderings
  • Produce detailed millwork shop drawings (plans, elevations, sections) for residential and commercial projects
  • Prepare CNC-ready files, including nesting and part numbering
  • Generate material and hardware take-offs based on project specifications
  • Review designs for structural integrity, dimensions, and material requirements
  • Maintain organized project documentation and drawing revisions
  • Update drawings based on site measurements and feedback
  • Ensure all drawings meet company drafting standards and consistency
  • Support Project Managers to help drive projects to completion

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in CAD design, preferably in millwork or cabinetry
  • Strong understanding of millwork construction and manufacturing processes
  • Proficiency in:
    • SolidWorks
    • SWOOD for SolidWorks
    • Microvellum
    • SketchUp
  • Experience working with materials such as laminates, wood veneer, and melamine
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
