Join Our Team as a Clinical Psychologist in Ontario
Healing Roots Therapy/Healing Roots Health & Wellness is seeking a Clinical Psychologist or Neuropsychologist to provide hybrid services at our Mississauga location and across the GTA and Ontario. This role supports children/adults, couples, and/or families through psychoeducational and psychological assessments, diagnostic clarification, and psychotherapy, with care tailored to each client’s unique needs.
As we continue to expand its psychological services, this position plays an integral role in delivering and developing our assessment offerings while contributing to psychotherapy services within an established
multidisciplinary practice. This role is well suited for clinicians who are passionate about thoughtful assessment work, collaborative care, and meaningful therapeutic relationships.
There is the possibility to be supported by a psychometrist for assessment administration and scoring, while our administrative team manages scheduling, billing, and client communication, allowing you to focus on clinical formulation, interpretation, reporting, and feedback. Opportunities for consultation, supervision, and specialty work are available based on interest and experience.

Position Details
Position Type: Part-time
Location: Mississauga (Hybrid – in-person & remote)
Hours
- ~15 hours/week to start
- Typically 3 daytime shifts
- Availability required Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- Optional weekend availability (1–2 Saturdays/Sundays/month; not required)
Compensation (Fee Split Model)
- $130-150/session for psychotherapy
- 60% split for psychological assessments
Role Overview
As a Clinical Psychologist or Neuropsychologist at you will support individuals, couples, and/or families through comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational assessments, diagnostic clarification, and evidence-informed psychotherapy tailored to each client’s unique goals and experiences.
You will complete intakes, develop and refine treatment plans, maintain clear and timely clinical documentation, and coordinate referrals when appropriate. You will manage your own caseload while working within a supportive multidisciplinary team and upholding high professional and ethical standards.
This role has the option to include providing high-quality psychotherapy services alongside comprehensive assessment work for clients aged 7 and up, with a primary focus on adults. Experience supporting children and adolescents is considered an asset.
You could be supported by a psychometrist(if you prefer) for assessment administration and scoring, while our administrative team manages scheduling, billing, and client communication, allowing you to focus on clinical formulation, interpretation, reporting, and feedback.
Depending on your interests and experience, there are opportunities to contribute through consultation, supervision, mentorship, or specialty areas of practice with other practitioners. This role is well suited for psychologists who enjoy direct assessment work while also contributing to the growth of a developing service area within an established practice.
Key Responsibilities
Psychological & Psychoeducational Assessments
• Conduct psychological and psychoeducational assessments for adults (experience supporting children and adolescents is an asset)
• Assessment areas may include ADHD, learning disabilities, giftedness, executive functioning, diagnostic clarification, and social-emotional functioning
Provide end-to-end assessment services, including:
• Clinical interviews and records review
• Administering/scoring (if choose to not have a psychometrist
Support)
• Interpretation and integration of standardized measures
• Psychological reports and diagnostic letters
• Feedback sessions with clients and families
• Collaboration with schools, physicians, and allied professionals
as needed
Therapy (Secondary Component)
- Provide in-person psychotherapy services to clients
- Experience in couples and family therapy is considered an asset
Supervision & Leadership (Optional)
- Opportunities to supervise training psychologists or psychotherapists, based on interest and capacity
- Consultation, mentorship, and case review opportunities available
- Supervision responsibilities are optional and tailored to experience.
What you Bring
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical, Counselling, or School Psychology or Psychological Associate (Master Degree candidate)
- Fully registered and in good standing with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO)
- Authorized to work in Canada
- Minimum 5+ years of mental health experience
- Declared competency in the areas of Clinical Psychology with no restrictions on license to practice
- Declared competence in Assessment/Evaluation/Intervention
- Excellent verbal and written communication; strong interpersonal, problem solving, and time management skills
- Proficiency in technology is essential, including familiarity with Electronic Medical Records systems and Microsoft 365 applications
- Demonstrated experience in clinical interviewing, diagnosis and formulation, consultation; knowledge of typical and atypical lifespan development; experience with a broad range of psychometric tools and principles; and statistical knowledge
- Comfort working in a hybrid contractor role
- The successful candidate must provide an acceptable Vulnerable Sector Screening
Assets
- Authorization to conduct ASD assessments
- Experience with supervision or mentorship
- Experience in private or multidisciplinary practice
